          on the Trails

Hiking enthusiasts have hundreds of trails
throughout northern Idaho to choose from.
Every level of hiking ability will find spectacular
views of mountains, lakes and valleys. Recently,
the City of Post Falls acquired 518 acres, called
the Post Falls Community Forest, creating
a haven for hikers, bikers, horseback riders,
anglers and rock climbers - all within 10 minutes
of the interstate. The trail begins at Q’emiln
       Park (pronounced “Ka-Mee-Lin”) and winds
through the gorge of the Spokane River for four
impressive miles. Despite being located on the
edge of the city, this hiking oasis will make you
       feel miles away from civilization.

Cycling around and through the region offers an
unforgettable way to soak up the scenery while
       visiting must-see attractions and discovering
hidden gems. Post Falls is a great starting
destination for active cyclists, with accessible
riding trails connecting to towns along the river
and lake shorelines. The North Idaho Centennial
Trail spans 24-miles from the stateline through
Post Falls and ending near Lake Coeur d’Alene
where you might catch a glimpse of soaring eagles.
