Post Falls Has It All

Post Falls, Idaho holds the key to breath taking landscapes, thrilling activities, culinary delights, and accommodations for any size budget. Discover a multitude of morning, noon, and evening activities all within 5 minutes of Interstate 90.

CLIMB

Climb the Q’emiln Walls featuring over 140 routes and bouldering opportunities for all ages. 

BIKE

Mountain Bike 20 miles of loop trails through incredible scenery and intense heights with the Spokane River rushing below; perfect for moderate and advanced riders.

HIKE

Hike the Post Falls Community Forest on easy to moderate trails of valleys and peaks to explore and views for miles. There’s a path for every age and level of hiking. 

BEYOND THE FOREST TRAILS

Black Bay Park is a 56-acre park in Post Falls. It offers paved walking and biking trails that tie into the Centennial Trail, fishing access, and scenic views of the Spokane River. Dogs are allowed on a leash.

Corbin Park is located in Post Falls along the banks of the Spokane River. This 28+ acre site offers rafting, kayaking, and fishing access. The trails throughout Corbin Park are actually one of the most popular 18-hole disc golf courses in the region. Dogs are allowed on a leash.

Falls Park is a 22-acre park with ADA-paved paths winding throughout and along the steep canyon into which the Spokane River tumbles over the falls. Observation decks are open to the public year-round to view the falls; however, Springtime is one of the best times to witness the rushing runoff from the mountains and Coeur d’Alene Lake roar over the Falls. Historical interpretive signage is beautifully displayed throughout. Dogs are allowed on a leash.

Q’emiln Park is located in Post Falls on the Spokane River. This 78.5-acre park features a swimming beach, boat launch, the Q’emiln Climbing Walls, multiple trails, and Post Falls Community Forest access. It is a fantastic park for every occasion. Dogs are not allowed.

Route of the Hiawatha is considered the “Crown Jewel” of all Rail-to-Trail projects in the USA and delivers a one-of-a-kind adventure. This world-class, family-friendly 15-mile trail is open for bikers and hikers. It is located in the beautiful Bitterroot Mountains on the Montana/Idaho border. The downhill trail runs along an old railroad, including several tunnels and sky-high trestles. Historic interpretive signage brings this fantastic feat to life. A shuttle is available to get back to the top. Passes, shuttle tickets, and equipment rentals are available at the Lookout Pass Ski Area. Dogs are not allowed.

Trail of the Coeur d’Alene is one of the most spectacular trails in the western United States. The trail runs for 73 miles on smooth asphalt, perfect for cyclists, in-line skaters, walkers, those in wheelchairs, Nordic skiers, and snowshoe adventurers. The trail meanders through the historic Silver Valley, along the Coeur d’Alene River, past the lake, and through rolling farmlands. Twenty trailheads provide entry points with dozens of scenic waysides along the route for a short rest. Dogs are allowed on a leash.

Tubbs Hill is located in downtown Coeur d’Alene on Lake Coeur d’Alene. It comprises 165 acres of tranquil, breathtaking scenery and hiking trails. It’s one of the more accessible hikes with awesome lake views, but the paths are comprised of natural terrain and unsuitable for ADA access. Dogs are allowed on a leash.

WATER

Water sports above and below the falls. Above the falls on the Spokane River, you will find unlimited possibilities for boating, paddle boarding, skiing, and wake boarding. Just over 7 miles of fun, connecting to Lake Coeur d’Alene. Q’emiln Park offers a gorgeous swim beach and boat launch. Below the falls is equally as exciting with kayaking, floating, fishing and one of the best disc golf experiences on the river with a fun but challenging 18-hole course among towering ponderosa pines; located in Corbin Park. In the Spring when the falls are opened, explore whitewater kayaking.

DINE AND DRINK

Check out the restaurant and beverage scene featuring an array of diverse menus and spirits. Post Falls is home to several, award-winning establishments including a James Beard Award chef and local bistro owner, 2022 Idaho’s Best Deli, American, Northwest and pallet pleaser restaurants with flavors from all over the globe. Schedule a tasting tour at the local Gold Award, farm to the flask distillery, or enjoy the region’s winner for best cocktails and whiskey bar. Stop in the local brewery boasting several championship brews and ciders.  

NEED FOR SPEED

Thousands of race fans from all over the region gather on the weekends at the speedway for the best outdoor venue for all ages. From April – October the 1/4 mile, paved, banked, oval track offers thrills and spills. Raised grandstands offer a fantastic view so fans don’t miss any angle of the racing action!!
