Celebrate 100 years of North Idaho State Fair fun August 19 through 28
The North Idaho State Fair returns this month and salutes to a century, promising more to see and do as it celebrates 100 years of classic fair fun.
This award-winning fair, held at the Kootenai County Fairgrounds in Coeur d’Alene, has held strong to its values of local agriculture, talent, youth education, and family friendly entertainment.
The fair’s Salute to a Century theme will be continuously celebrated throughout its run—August 19 through 28.
In addition to the fair food, carnival rides and FFA exhibits, 11 arena shows are planned over the 10-day event at Findlay Arena to include Big Air at the Fair Freestyle, Monster Trucks, Demo Derby, Skillet, Xtreme Bulls, Jordan Davis, The All-American Rejects, and PRCA Rodeo.
For its milestone year, the fair is offering commemorative 100th Anniversary coins, including a 99.9 percent solid silver souvenir coin and a 24-carat gold-plated coin, for sale on the fair website. You’ll also find some fair and rodeo gear available.
One of the top additions this year is the introduction of the Golden Ticket—an exciting new program that offers lifetime admission to the fair. All proceeds from this year’s Golden Ticket sales will go toward a new, larger livestock barn at the Kootenai County Fairgrounds, a need recognized by the fair board.
