Rock Climbing, Mountain Biking and More…
Located just a stone’s throw away from the interstate, the Post Falls Community Forest is an outdoor adventure hub. Spanning over 500 acres, this public recreation area is a haven for non- motorized activities. Its extensive trail system, totaling 10 miles, seamlessly connects to 20 miles of loop routes, making it easily accessible.
The network of hiking trails twists and turns through ravines, up and down the hillside, along two miles of the Spokane River shoreline, and connects three trailheads. Enjoy a leisurely, short family hike or a challenging, arduous path through the steep terrain; there’s a route for everyone at any age.
Viewpoints from well-maintained trails reveal mountains, endless water, wildlife, native plants, and beautiful prairies. Be on the lookout for one of several enticing swimming holes hidden along the trails and unique paths that incorporate nature. Bring a camera to capture these photo-worthy views. Geocaches are waiting to be found throughout the forest. Grab a picnic lunch from one of the many great eateries in Post Falls. Remember to take only photographs and leave only footprints.
