Family, Friends, Fun and Food

It’s time to make memories at this year’s North Idaho State Fair!

The countdown is on for this year’s North Idaho State Fair! An annual summer tradition more than a century old, the fair returns to the Kootenai County Fairgrounds in Coeur d’Alene August 18 through 27!

The theme for this year’s family friendly 10-day event is “Acres of Fun,” which is exactly what attendees at the fair experience each and every year.

The fair board works extremely hard to ensure they offer entertainment for all ages—and once again, this year is sure to be full of excitement and entertainment. Included with fair admission are featured attractions like the popular Brad’s World Reptile Show, NASCAR Racing and Hang Bar Challenge, stunts by the Jetpack Flying Water Circus, activity-filled fun zones for the kids, family friendly shows (like Magician Adam the Great, Sword Swallower Dan Meyer and Master Hypnotist Tyzen Paley) and a whole lot more!

One can’t forget the classic carnival rides (must purchase tickets or carnival pass to ride) and savory and sweet fair foods that abound. Then there’s the Findlay Arena show lineup that will showcase Big Air at the Fair (followed by the spectacular Drone Show), Monster Trucks, PRCA Rodeo, Gem State Stampede, Demolition Derby, Draft Horse Show & Pull, and the Party in the Dirt Concert Series.

This year’s Party in the Dirt Concert Series brings some big names to the stage and features GRAMMY® award-winning singer/songwriter Carly Pearce kicking off the series on August 21, followed by country artist Chase Rice on August 22, and multi-platinum, GRAMMY® award-winning hip hop artist Lil Jon August 23.

Admission to the fair for adults (13 to 59) is $9 in advance, $12 at the gate; $7 in advance ($10 at the gate) for seniors (60+), youth (6 to 12) and military (with ID); children 5 and younger are free. Parking is $5 per vehicle. You can also choose from a variety of ticket options: The Carnival POP pass is priced at $30 in advance or $40 once the fair opens and is good for any one day and all you can ride at the carnival (does not include fair submission); the Carnival Mega Pass, which includes four one-day admission tickets, four Carnival POP passes and one parking pass for $130; and the Carnival Golden Ticket allows the ticket-holder to ride all 10 days of the fair (not available after August 18) for $100.

Fair hours are 3pm to close Friday, August 18, noon to close Saturday and Sunday (both weekends), 2pm to close Monday through Friday. For up-to-date details about the 2023 North Idaho State Fair and to purchase tickets for admission, special events and concerts, be sure to visit NISFair.fun.
