Explore these local entertainment favorites along the river and throughout Post Falls and the region.

 

In the Spring, Post Falls hosts the Lantern Festival. It is a once-in-a-lifetime event with thousands of lanterns floating in the night sky.

 

Summer fun includes a Sprint Triathlon, movies and concerts by the river, and outstanding national headline entertainment. Throughout the summer, at one of these favorite events: Post Falls Festival in July, River City Market & Music in July & August, and North Idaho State Fair in August.

 

Fall equals October festivities! From pumpkin patches to haunts, there’s something for the whole family. Scarywood is in full swing, featuring rollercoasters, haunted shows, and zombies.

 

Winter hosts the Winterfest Community Celebration, an annual event for the whole family! Shop holiday vendors at “Market On 4th.” Music fills the air as you warm up by the campfires with a warm cup of cider while roasting a marshmallow. Grab a treat from Mrs. Claus’ Kitchen and visit Santa in his workshop.

 

Across town, explore ” A Night at Bethlehem.” The local raceway is transformed into the city of Bethlehem, with many shopkeepers, animals (including camels), and a live nativity. This event is free to the public.

Night Lights Sky Lantern Festival

Inspired by the traditional Thai Lantern Festival, Night Lights is an all-new and completely reimagined sky lantern experience. Join thousands of your friends, family, and neighbors as we come together to make a truly once-in-a-lifetime memory as we launch our lanterns just after dusk. Check out Findlay Stadium at Stateline Speedway for tickets next spring. The event is the first weekend in May every year.

Live After 5 is a well established weekly summer concert series that features National Regional touring artists at an affordable cost. This all ages, family friendly event runs annually from mid June through early September and offers a variety of local food and beverage options for everyone.

July 11-13, 2024

Three-day festival in Q’emiln Park with dozens of food and creaft vendors. Live music and beer gardens. It’s fun for the whole family with special events like Big Wheel races, Movies in the Park, Car Show and Shine, Ice Cream Socials and more! On Saturday morning, line up on Seltice Avenue at 9 am for the Annual Post Falls Day Parade.

River City Market and Music

River City Market & Music, Wednesday nights from 5pm – 8pm presented by Jordan Sales and Service. The market will be located at The Landing Park on the Spokane River just off Spokane Street in Post Falls. Live music put on by the City of Post Falls will start at 6pm. There will be food trucks, crafts, flowers and regional vendors. Bring the whole family down for the River City Market & Music!

North Idaho State Fair and Rodeo

August 16th-24th, 2024

A whole lot of fair fun in mid-August during the 10 day State fair. Experience big name entertainment, motocross, a demolition derby all the best fair food, a wide variety of family friendly entertainment and amusement rides. In 2022, the North Idaho Fair theme is Salute to a Century as they celebrate 100 years of the Fair in Kootenai County.

Prost! In the Park

Post Falls Rotary is proud to present Prost! in the Park at Q’emiln Park from 11am-7pm. Family friendly activities from 11am-2pm. German dancing, band, sausages and a variety of food trucks. Beer Garden featuring local breweries and traditional German beer. $10 for18 and over, kids 17 and under free. Includes admission to live music and Bier Hall. Beer and food will be sold seperately. Have some fun with us and celebrate the Post Falls German Heritage while raising money to support students in the Post Falls School District.

Shoes and Brews 5K Fun Run

Enjoy the fall crisp air, local beers, beautiful scenery, music, beer and a good time at the 5k fun run. Walkers and runners alike will enjoy this non-competitive, self-timed event. Prizes will be awarded for best costume. All finishers receive a T-shirt, medal and lots of fun! Those over 21 will receive a punch card with different brew related partners they can turn in for prizes! Post Falls Winterfest & Plaza Market

December 1st, 2023

Kick off the holiday season with your family at the Post Falls winter festival where family traditions are created. The City Hall Campus will be bustling with holiday festivities for all ages. We will start the evening with our “Plaza Market”, then by sending out our magic to light up the community tree. You can enjoy music, and warm up by our outdoor fire pits with a delicious cup of cider while roasting a marshmallow treat from Mrs. Claus’ Kitchen, there will be crafts for all the little elves. *Santa will be in his workshop throughout the evening excited for his annual visit with all his friends. Stop in to visit the Post Falls Museum, they will be serving cookies and singing songs from 4:00-8:00pm. The Plaza Market will run from 4:00-8:00pm. Santa’s anticipated arrival is approx. 6:10pm.

Post Falliday’s Tiny Tree Festival

December 2nd, 2023

Join us for the Annual Post Fallidays Tiny Tree Festival for a mid-morning full of fun and festivities! This is a family fun event complete with holiday entertainment, a beautiful brunch with a mimosa bar and bloody Mary bar and holiday photo opportunities. There will be a 6 foot fully decorated tree that you can win in a raffle and over 20 4 foot trees decorated in a variety of themes with gifts included that you can bid on. It’s a perfect way to kick off the holiday season and a great place to hold your small office party because all of the work is done for you. The tiny trees are all decorated by local community leaders, non-profits and businesses and the proceeds go to support the work that the Post Falls Chamber of Commerce does to support local business.
